New week, new trip report! This time covering American Airlines A321neo First Class from Boston to Philadelphia. This was my third time flying American Airlines regional first class. I flew another American A321neo to Hawaii, back in 2018. I paid for the trip using 46400 Smiles miles and $10 in taxes.
American Airlines just announced what they call AAdvantage Loyalty Point Rewards: starting in March 2023, there will be new ways to earn rewards, redeem miles and reach your travel goals with the AAdvantage program, before you reach status tiers. Yes, before.
With the introduction of the AAdvantage Loyalty Points in 2022, I managed to use the AAdvantage e-shopping portal to qualify for AAdvantage Gold. Starting in March 2023, AAdvantage will introducte new changes to simplify the program and make the qualification easier. Some of these changes are exciting to me, as I can try to qualify for higher tiers of the program, considering that I look forward to travel a lot to the US. However, many frequent flyers argue that these changes dilute the value of the program, making the higher levels less exclusive.
Review and full trip report of my Iberia A350 Business Class flight from Miami to Madrid. In the video review, I cover everything from check-in, the Miami Airport terminals, the American Airlines Admirals Club / Flagship Lounge, boarding, meal service, takeoff and landing, etc.
American Airlines AAdvantage has introduced a super simple way to qualify for higher elite status. Now ANY AAdvantage mile counts as a Loyalty Point towards elite status, which means you can get to a higher status by spending with your AAdvantage Credit Card or buying through the eShopping Portal. Itβs the best time to look into this program!
As a frequent flyer you might have a ton of questions and uncertainty about what to do with your miles and points. Are we going to loose them? Will miles get devalued? What happens if the airline goes bankrupt? Can I extend my elite qualifying period? When will I be able to book award seats again? Here are some thoughts…
I was flying from Los Angeles (LAX) to Kahului (OGG), Hawaii, and I chose this rout and time to try the new A321neo from American Airlines. I was flying in Main Cabin Extra in one of the best seats on the plane. The views while landing were amazing.
