If you ever felt the pain of carrying around your luggage while being a tourist because of inconvenient check-in/check-out hotel times or long layovers at airports, then you came to the right place. In this post, we take a look at Radical Storage: it’s like AirBnb for your bags.

Radical Storage Review (2023)
What is Radical Storage?
Radical Storage is a platform that allows travelers and locals to store their luggage in local businesses, such as cafes, shops, and hotels. It’s an innovative approach to solve the problem of luggage storage when early hotel check-outs, late check-ins, or simply moving around the city are involved.

Radical Storage distinguishes itself with a unique delivery service, where they will collect your luggage from the storage place and deliver it to an address of your choice. This service can be a game-changer for travelers with tight schedules or those who prefer the convenience of luggage delivery. It also guarantees 100% security, which is attractive to safety-conscious travelers.
Key Advantages

Brief History
Radical Storage was founded in 2016 as BAGBNB by Alessandro Seina, a serial entrepreneur and expert in brand design strategy. Seina had the idea for BAGBNB after experiencing the inconvenience of traditional luggage storage services, which are often located in train stations and airports and can be expensive and inconvenient to use.
BAGBNB also introduced several innovative features, such as:
- Online booking: Travelers can book luggage storage in advance through BAGBNB’s website or mobile app.
- Contactless check-in and out: Travelers can check in and out of their luggage storage location using a QR code on their mobile device.
- Affordable pricing: BAGBNB charges a flat rate per bag, regardless of the size or weight of the bag.
BAGBNB quickly became popular with travelers, and by 2020, it was the largest luggage storage network in the world, with over 3,000 storage locations in over 1,000 cities. In 2021, BAGBNB rebranded to Radical Storage to reflect its commitment to innovation and providing travelers with the best possible experience.
How does Radical Storage Work?
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to safely store your luggage with Radical Storage.
- Access the Radical Storage luggage storage network. You can do this by visiting the Radical Storage website or downloading the app on your mobile device.
- Enable geolocation. This will allow the service to show you a map of all the storage locations near you. You can also enter an address manually if you prefer.
- Choose the luggage storage place that meets your needs. There are various storage options, including hotels, cafes, shops, and other businesses. You can filter the results by price, location, and amenities.
- Book your preferred luggage drop by filling out the form. You must enter the date and time to store your luggage, the number of bags, and the size. You will also need to enter your personal information and payment details.
- Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a QR code. This QR code is your confirmation, and you must show it to the staff at the storage location when you drop off your luggage.
- On the day of your booking, go to the storage location and show the QR code to the staff. The staff will take your luggage and store it securely.
- When you are ready to pick up your luggage, return to the storage location and show the staff your booking confirmation. The staff will retrieve your luggage and return it to you.

Earn money with Radical Storage: Become an Angel
Anyone can apply to become an Angel for Radical Storage. This means you will need to provide their high-quality service by taking care of peoples’ luggage while you get paid. This is a great opportunity to make extra money by becoming a ‘luggage host’.
To earn money with Radical Storage by becoming an Angel, you need to sign up for the Radical Storage Angel Program. This program allows you to offer luggage storage space at your business or home.
To sign up, create an account on their website and then fill out the Angel application form. The company will review it. If your application is approved, you will become an Angel, and you will be able to start offering luggage storage services at your business or home.
To start offering luggage storage services, you need to set up a storage location and then add it to their website. You also need to set your pricing and availability.
Once your storage location is added to the website, travelers will be able to book it online. When a traveler books your storage location, you will receive a notification. On the day of the booking, the traveler will come to your business or home to drop off their luggage. You will need to store the luggage securely and then return it to the traveler when they pick it up.
Radical Storage will pay you a commission for every booking that you receive. The commission rate varies depending on the location and the type of storage space that you offer. There’s a separate app for angels in the app store to track bookings, revenue, and other analytics.

Conclusion
I love the innovation that Radical Storage has been pushing since 2016. I’ve been in this situation so many times that I wished there was a better solution than leaving your luggage at the hotel, which can be expensive, and also requires you to go back to pick them up.
My experience with Radical Storage has been great so far, although I have used it mainly across Europe. It’s simple, easy to use and affordable. I also love the fact that they store packages for you.
I’m currently trying it out in other countries such as the U.S. and Argentina and will report back. You can check my other post where I compare all the alternatives for a clear comparison between all of them and the locations where they excel.
