Plutus Extended The Difficulty Adjustment Until July 1st (2023)
Last December, the company announced that earning PLU Rewards would be more difficult in 2023. Today, Plutus extended the difficulty adjustment deadlines by one month until July 1st, giving us more time to qualify for a higher level with the old requirements.
Note that once you unlock a Reward Level, it becomes grandfathered and is no longer subject to future increases.

What are Plutus Reward levels?
In Plutus, the higher your Reward Level, the more benefits you get access to, including higher reward rates (up to 8%) and more Perks (up to 8). In total, there are four Reward Levels you can unlock: Hero, Veteran, Legend, and GOAT! Each with an increasing amount of benefits.
How to unlock a Plutus Reward level
To unlock a Reward Level, you must hold PLU (aka. Stack) in your personal crypto wallet. The more PLU you stack, the higher your Reward Level. However, the amount of PLU required to unlock a Reward Level increases over time (known as Difficulty Adjustment). As soon as a Reward Level is unlocked, it’s no longer subject to future adjustments.
The difficulty adjustment calendar will start on the 1st of June (Q2 2023). However, all future difficulty adjustments (i.e., Q3 onwards) will start on the first day of the quarter. The scheduled adjustments will end in 2025.
Example of how the requirements change over time for the Hero level.
- 1st June 2023 = 275 PLU
- 1st July 2023 = 325 PLU
- 1st October 2023 = 400 PLU
- 1st January 2024 = 500 PLU
- 1st July 2024 = 625 PLU
- 1st January 2025 = 1,000 PLU
How to stack PLU?
- Log in to the web version of the Plutus app.
- Click the Perks tab and then Connect Wallet (I use MetaMask).
- Stack 250 PLU or more in your wallet to unlock Hero.
