The airline is introducing nonstop services from Philadelphia to three European cities: Copenhagen, Naples, and Nice. Additionally, passengers from Dallas-Fort Worth will enjoy new service to Barcelona, Spain. After a hiatus, flights between Chicago and Venice will also be resumed.

In a recent statement, Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, expressed the airline’s enthusiasm for these new routes. He highlighted the convenience of one-stop access from over 200 unique U.S. destinations to Europe next summer.
For Philadelphia-based travelers, there’s more good news. The airline will offer 15 daily nonstop flights from the city to 14 European destinations next summer, marking its most extensive trans-Atlantic schedule from Philadelphia since 2019.
Key launch dates for eager travelers include:
- May 6, 2024: Start of service from Philadelphia to Nice.
- June 5, 2024: Introduction of the Naples route.
- June 6, 2024: Inauguration of the Copenhagen route.
American Airlines is also ensuring an unmatched schedule for travelers heading to Barcelona by launching new service between Dallas-Fort Worth and the Catalan capital. Additionally, they will be the sole airline offering a direct flight connecting Chicago and Venice.
For those not looking to wait until next summer, American Airlines is amplifying its position as the leading airline between the U.S. and the regions of Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. More flights are planned for popular holiday destinations, and a frequency boost between Dallas-Fort Worth and Buenos Aires is set for October.
